IT Engineering specialist
Basic requirements include:
• General IT and computer knowledge
• Technical writing
• Creation of pre- and post-project documentation
• Experience in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio (or similar software)
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies, software, and hardware
• Proven troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to manage or troubleshoot office computers/printers/phones/servers/etc.
• Knowledge in services like TeamViewer, video conferencing
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and network topology maps
• Good analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Must be able to work well with and through others
• Preferred Skills include:
• Experience in AutoCad or similar drafting software
• Understanding of communication technologies: Point to Point, Point to Multi-point, Fiber Optics, Category Cable, etc.
• Experience or knowledge of security access/door controls
• Experience or knowledge of IP cameras
Mandatory Job Qualifications:
• Must have a VALID state driver's license

Cable Technician
Objectives:
To perform the job successfully, professionally, and in the appropriate time allotted. The cabling technician is responsible for the installation & termination of Coaxial, CAT5 and CAT6, Multi-conductor and Fiber Optic Cables. Also, responsible for the mechanical configuration of equipment racks and the installation of electronic equipment. The technician is responsible for always maintaining the integrity of the system wiring, company standards, and all documentation.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
• Cutting, labeling, pulling, dressing and terminating various types of cables
• Rack mounting electronic equipment to manufacturers’ specifications
• Performs mechanical set-up of equipment racks
• Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills
• Basic operation of cable test equipment
• Reports daily status of assigned tasks to Project Manager
• Maintains a clean & organized work environment including: warehouse, work vehicle, and site
• Complies with all company standards, policies & procedures
• Some travel may be required
• Constantly (6-8 hours) stands, reaches with hands and arms, grasps with hands, talks, hears, and sees colors
• Frequently (3-6 hours) walks, repetitive use of hands, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, bends, twists, pushes, or pulls
• Frequently lifting up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
• Able to distinguish various color variations
• Ability to work in tight surroundings and elevated levels
• Uses ladders and equipment properly and safely
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licenses, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
• Two-year associate degree or certificate from college or technical school; or at least 1-year related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Should have a basic understanding of video/audio/data signal flow, industry standards & cable installation best practices including CCTV
• Ability to read and understand safety procedures, operation & installation documentation
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers or other employees of the organization
• BICSI Certification, Certified Fiber Installer, Manufacturer certifications
